A day after learning of ballerina Michaela DePrince's sudden death, her family has revealed that her adoptive mom passed away within the following 24 hours, according to a Facebook post, and confirmed by the family to Daily Voice on Saturday, Sept. 14. Elaine DePrince of Cherry Hill, NJ died "after many years of battling a hereditary disease and heart failure," as stated in the post. She passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 11. She was 77 years old. Philly Woman Killed In Wrong-Way Crash Was Nursing Student, Philanthropist: Family
Thaduba Magdalena Turay of Philadelphia died when she was struck head-on by an allegedly DUI driver on Sunday, April 14, according to state police. She was 21. Turay was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone, and moved to the United States with her family when she was 1 year old, loved ones wrote on GoFundMe.
