Northampton Woman Killed After Crashing Into Tree In Heidelberg Township
A Northampton County woman was killed after her vehicle crashed into a tree on Wednesday, Oct. 2, according to authorities. Raquel M. Perez, 26, of Wilson Borough, was driving in the 5000 block of Route 309 in Heidelberg Township when her vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree at 3:38 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio said. Perez was pronounced dead in the emergency department at Lehigh Valley Hospital at 4:34 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, according to Buglio's report. A child is dead and five other people — including four children — were hurt in a fire in Lebanon City on Friday morning Sept. 13, officials explained. A child under the age of five died at the scene of the fire in the 1300 block of Brandywine Street, officials said. Four other children were injured and an elderly woman was medically evacuated by helicopter from the scene to Hershey Medical Center. A 20-year-old passenger was 16 weeks pregnant when her partner fell asleep at the wheel and fatally crashed on Saturday, Sept. 7, according to her social media and Pennsylvania State Police. A 30-year-old mom woman is dead following a multiple-vehicle crash involving entrapment that closed all lanes of US Route 30 East in part of Lancaster County, authorities announced on Tuesday, June 4.
