Woman, Dog Found Dead At Back Door Of Home In Bucks County Fire: Police An early morning fire Wednesday, Dec. 4 claimed the life of an adult woman and her dog in Bucks County, authorities said. Pennsylvania State Police Troop M responded to the blaze on the 1800 block of Mountain View Drive in Haycock Township around 4 a.m., State Police said. When troopers arrived, the residence was fully engulfed in flames. The woman and her dog were found deceased near the back door of the home, authorities said. Garage Fire Leads To Total Loss of Towamencin Home: Authorities A Montgomery County home was declared to be a total loss following what started as a garage fire on Sunday, Oct. 27, according to authorities. The home, located at 401 Shipwrighter Way in Towamencin Township was a total loss due to fire and water damage, according to Towamencin Township Fire Marshal Bill Oettinger. While the fire was determined to be accidental, its origin is still under investigation, Oettinger said.  The fire was initially reported as being in the garage at 5:27 p.m., according to Oettinger. Vietnam Veteran, PA Firefighter, Blaine Horn, Dies On 9/11 A former firefighter in multiple counties in Pennsylvania and a Vietnam veteran died on Wednesday, Sept. 11, his former station announced. Blaine W. Man Critically Hurt In South Philly Fire, Officials Say An apartment caught fire on Thursday, July 18, sending one man to the hospital with serious injuries, Philadelphia police said.  The blaze happened above a vacant barber shop on the 1900 block of South 22nd Street around 9 a.m., authorities wrote in a release. The home was "engulfed in flames" when first responders arrived.  The 63-year-old victim was taken to the Hospital of the University of Philadelphia on Cedar Avenue in critical condition, police said. The Fire Marshal was called to the scene, they added.

Early Morning Pottstown Fire Sends 5 To Hospital, Officials Say Multiple residents are being treated for injuries and smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in Pottstown on Thursday, May 30.  First responders were called to the Robert P. Smith Towers, 501 High Street, just after 6 a.m., according to borough officials.  They arrived to find a blaze on the fifth floor and began "rescue and fire suppression efforts," authorities said.  The state police and Pottstown borough fire marshals are investigating the cause.
