Community members and loved ones have raised thousands for a Philadelphia mom badly injured in a hit-and-run on Wednesday, April 24. Darlene Wilson was walking home from work in University City around 3:45 p.m. when she was struck twice by a driver who fled the scene, her daughter Leeloni Velazquez-Butler wrote on GoFundMe. Daily Voice has reached out to city police for more information on the accident. 24-Year-Old Driver Shot In University City: Philadelphia PD
A 24-year-old driver is in critical condition after he was shot in Philadelphia's University City section just after sunrise on Tuesday, Aug. 15, city police told Daily Voice. It happened on the 700 block of South 42nd Street around 6:15 a.m., the department said.
