Victim Airlifted After 'Major Accident' In Bucks County: Police
One person was evacuated by helicopter and several more were hospitalized following a "major accident" on Stony Hill Road in Lower Makfield on Monday afternoon, authorities say. It happened at about 1:30 p.m. on May 22, township police wrote in a release. A driver in a Mini Cooper pulled out of an office complex onto Stony Hill Road and hit a BMW SUV, the department said. Bucks Man Who Shot Yardley Police Chief Charged With Attempted Murder
The 24-year-old man who shot the Yardley Borough police chief Wednesday in Bucks County was apprehended and charged with attempted murder, authorities said Thursday. Colin Petroziello opened fire on Chief Joe Kelly with a shotgun as he responded to a Yardley Commons apartment around 11 a.m., according to Lower Makefield Township Police Chief Ken Coluzzi and District Attorney Matt Weintraub.
