Police ID Man Dead In Chester Shooting
Authorities have identified the man killed in a Chester shooting Saturday. Ronald Stansbury, 52, was found with multiple gunshot wounds around 7:15 a.m. behind 2240 Edgmont Ave., Police Capt. James Chubb said. He was pronounced dead by paramedics from Crozer Chester Medical Center. Chester Police Seek Public's Help In Deadly Hit-Run Crash
Police are seeking the public's help identifying a vehicle in a deadly hit-and-run crash that occurred Tuesday in Delaware County. Officers responding to the 2200 block of Wetherill Street at 8:22 p.m. discovered an "older, thin man" lying face down in the roadway, according to Chester City police captain James Chubb. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe the man may have been struck by a vehicle near the 1400 block of Kerlin Street and was dragged to the 2200 block of Wetherill St where he was found. Gunfire Rings Out Near High School Football Game In Chester
Gunfire that rang out near a high school football Saturday was unrelated to the athletic event itself, police in Chester said. Officers heard shots fired around 2:40 p.m. near 10th & Lamokin streets -- around the same time and location of a football game, Chester Police Capt. James Chubb said. Further investigation determined the incident happened on the 1200 block of West 10th Street, between to gunmen, police said. Chester Baby Girl Accidentally Shot In Head, Police Say
Authorities in Chester are investigating the accidental shooting of a baby Thursday evening. The 11-month-old girl was rushed to the hospital after the incident at 411 Frank Young Avenue around 7:30 p.m., Chester Police Capt. James Chubb said. Officers found that the baby was accidentally struck in the head. She was at the hospital with her mom and other family members and friends, police said. The baby received advanced medical treatment from the staff at Crozer Chester Medical center and then was transported to Dupont Hospital, where she received further intense medical treatment. …

Authorities ID Man Shot, Killed While Driving In Chester City
A 39-year-old man was shot in killed while in an SUV Chester Tuesday, authorities said. Police responded to 10th and Upland streets on reports of a shooting around 5:15 p.m. where they found a light blue SUV with a shattered rear passenger window stopped in the middle of the street, Chester City Police Det. James Chubb said. Shakeem Fearrington was inside of the car with several gunshot wounds in his upper torso, police said. Officers on location rendered aid before paramedics arrived. Authorities in Chester City are seeking the public's help identifying a possible gunman. Officers responded to 823 Kerlin St. on reports of shots fired at 1:22 a.m. April 15, where a black male had reportedly been shot in the leg, Captain James Chubb said. Connecticut Man, 51, Found Dead Inside Van Parked In Pennsylvania
A 51-year-old Connecticut man was found dead inside of a van in Delaware County, authorities said. Police were called to the Best Western on Providence Avenue Tuesday where a member of the military found a body in a Mercedes van parked in a spot reserved for military personnel, Chester City Police Captain James Chubb said. The man was later identified as John Melia, of Stamford, CT, Chubb said. No foul play was suspected, and Melia's body was recovered by the Delaware County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
