2 Cars Struck By Gunfire In Easton, Police Say
Two cars were struck by gunfire in Easton, say police seeking clues. Officers responding to the shooting report found evidence of gunfire near the 100 block of S 12th Street just after 5:55 p.m. Friday, Inspector John Piperato said in a release. Two unoccupied vehicles appeared to have been shot at, though no injuries were reported, Piperato said. Four men were seen in the area on foot around the time of the incident, authorities said. Argument In Reading Ends With Shots Fired: Police
An argument in Reading ended in gunshots early Wednesday, authorities said. Officers were called to the 200 block of Penn Street, where they found 48-year-old Carlos Rodriguez with a gunshot wound to the leg around 2:30 a.m., Reading police said. Montgomery County authorities are investigating after a shot was fired from a Lansdale home Monday night. Officers responded to a home in the 300 block of York Avenue around 9 p.m. after receiving a report of "suspicious activity" involving a large group of people, Lansdale police said. Gunfire that rang out near a high school football Saturday was unrelated to the athletic event itself, police in Chester said. Officers heard shots fired around 2:40 p.m. near 10th & Lamokin streets -- around the same time and location of a football game, Chester Police Capt. James Chubb said. A child was hospitalized after they were struck by gunfire near a convenience store parking lot in Chester Thursday, authorities said. Officers responding to the area of 9th and Tilghman Streets in Chester around 8:45 p.m. were told shots were fired in the parking lot of the nearby Chester Shop & Save, Chester police captain James Chubb said. The suspect of a Lower Providence police standoff was found dead in the rubble of his burned-out home following a fire, gunfire, and series of explosions Thursday afternoon, authorities said. Gunfire Erupts During Police Softball Game In Delaware County
Gunfire broke out during a police softball game in Upper Darby Tuesday night, authorities said. A member of the Darby Township Police Department and officers from surrounding areas were playing at the 69th Street Recreation Area when shots were fired just after 9 p.m., police said. Easton Police are searching for the person who fired a gun from a Mercedes at two adults and an infant early Tuesday morning.
