Authorities in Bensalem are seizing motorbikes and all-terrain vehicles suspected of driving on township roads illegally. Township police said the department's Motor Patrol Unit is actively seeking off-road vehicles "that illegally ride on private property and roadways in Bensalem." Bucks County First Responders Rescue Worker After 40-Foot Fall
Emergency personnel shut down Route 1 in Bensalem for nearly an hour as they raced to rescue a worker who fell 40 feet from an overpass early Thursday morning. It happened at about 3:45 a.m. April 13, Bensalem Fire Rescue said in a release. Multiple crews were dispatched to the bridge near Bristol Road to mount a technical rescue, authorities said. Authorities in Bucks County are planning to crack down on illegal car rallies, they said in a statement on Wednesday, Oct. 19. Bensalem police responded to reports on Saturday, Oct. 15 of a group of drivers performing burnouts and doughnuts in the parking lot at Neshaminy Mall on Bristol Road. On arrival, officers said they saw between 250 and 300 cars and a large crowd assembled, watching drivers perform stunts in the parking lot. Natural Gas Leak In Bucks County Clears Homes, Closes Roads
Bucks County residents were forced to evacuate their homes Tuesday, Oct. 18 as authorities investigated a natural gas leak. The leak occurred in Bensalem at the intersection of Bristol Road and Bensalem Boulevard, township police said in a Facebook post just before noon. Officials asked residents to avoid the area until further notice, closed down nearby roads, and evacuated some homes in the immediate area. Police in Bucks County are seeking the public's help identifying a man who they say slapped a SEPTA bus driver in the face in Bensalem, authorities said. The man operating a silver Toyota Hatchback drove around a SEPTA bus, parked in front of it, and got out of the car at the intersection of Rt. 1 South and Bristol Road around 9:20 p.m. on June 28, according to the Bensalem Police Department.
