I-95 Gunman Arrested Four Years After Shooting: State Police

The suspected gunman in a 2019 shooting on Interstate 95 is in police custody, authorities announced.

Twenty-year-old Samuel Irizarry was arrested by state police early Friday, Nov. 3, troopers said in a release. 

Irizarry is thought to have been riding in a dark-colored Chevrolet sedan that was involved in a Feb. 20, 2019 shooting on Mile 22 of the highway in Philadelphia, near the Benjamin Franklin bridge, according to police. 

He was sought for attempted murder, aggravated assault, conspiracy, unlicensed firearm carry, and other counts related to the incident, authorities have said.

Court records for Irizarry's case were not available on the state website midday Friday. Daily Voice has reached out to PSP for details on the arrest.
