A judge in Pennsylvania will face criminal charges himself, after officials say he lied about where he lived in order to be appointed to the bench. John R. Caffese, who has served as Magisterial District Judge for Tobyhanna and Tunkhannock townships since July, was arraigned on Thursday, Dec. 1 on multiple felony offenses, said Monroe County District Attorney E. Police ID Skeletal Remains In Lehigh Valley As 'Kunkletown Killer'
Police have identified the skeletal remains found by hunters in the Lehigh Valley as belonging to a convicted killer. Northampton County Coroner Zachary Lysek said the bones were those of William S. Edelman, Jr., a 65-year-old who most recently lived in Catasauqua. The remains were located just before 4:30 p.m. Monday in a secluded portion of the Appalachian Trail in Moore Township, the coroner said. A fisherman discovered the body of a man in Pocono Creek on Friday, Oct. 7, authorities said. 1 Dead In Poconos Area House Fire: Police
One person died when a house went up in flames in Monroe County early Wednesday, Aug. 17, authorities said. The unidentified victim was trapped and died inside the home on Hill Road in Chestnuthill Township, Pennsylvania State Police said. Multiple area fire departments were called to the scene along with the county coroner. Pennsylvania's Michael Horvath on Friday, June 17 was found guilty in the 2013 murder of his co-worker, Holly Grim. Michael Horvath, 55, was convicted on charges of homicide, kidnapping, tampering with evidence, and abuse of a corpse, but was acquitted of obstructing law enforcement.
