The crash happened on Route 41 just north of Newport Pike in Sadsbury Township, Lancaster County around 11:30 p.m., according to a release by state police.
The man was traveling northbound when he crossed over into southbound lanes colliding with a car driven by a 39-year-old man, the release states.
Christiana Community EMS and Gap Fire Company responded to the crash, in addition to police.
Both cars were towed from the scene, police say.
The identity of the deceased driver and the status of the surviving driver was not immediately available.
