Chester High School Football Player Killed In Shooting: Police
A 17-year-old boy was shot and killed on a street in Chester on Sunday evening, authorities announced on Tuesday, July 2. Zaheem Sabree was found with a gunshot wound to the head on East 24th Street near Crosby Street around 6:40 p.m., on June 30, city police detailed in the release. He was taken to an area hospital where he died from his wounds. Sabree played football at Chester High School, according to his account on Hudl.com. Police are asking anyone with information on the shooting to call Detective Michael Maher at 610-447-8428.

17-Year-Old Charged With Chester High Schooler's Murder: Police
One teen is in custody after another was shot and killed in Chester on Sunday night, June 9, city police said. Authorities were called to the Wallingford Estates Apartments, 2701 Madison Street, around 8 p.m. They arrived to find victim Sabrie Pierce suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital and succumbed to his injuries, police said. Abdullah Muslim, 17, was identified as a suspect and arrested within 48 hours, CPDS said. 16-Year-Old Brought Gun To Chester High School, Police Say
City police were called to Chester High School on Tuesday morning, May 28 after security found a student with a handgun, officials say. Authorities said the 16-year-old student tried to pass through the school’s security checkpoint with a pistol around 7:50 a.m. The student was detained by the school resource officer, police said. The firearm was recovered and a juvenile petition is being filed, police added.
