53-Year-Old Woman Killed In Crash With Freightliner Truck In Philadelphia A 53-year-old woman was struck and killed by a Freightliner truck in Philadelphia's Mayfair neighborhood, authorities announced on Monday, Dec. 9. The crash occurred at 1:16 a.m. in the 7600 block of Frankford Avenue as the truck exited a gas station and attempted to make a left turn, Philadelphia police said. According to investigators, the pedestrian walked in front of the truck and was not visible to the driver. Bensalem Man Arrested For Deadly Philadelphia Crash: Police A 41-year-old Bensalem man is accused of fatally hitting a pedestrian in Philadelphia, authorities say.  Christopher Sorensen was arrested in Kensington on Wednesday, July 31, Philadelphia police said in a release.  Sorensen was driving east on Allegheny Avenue when he struck Christopher Cabrera near Frankford Avenue on July 17, according to investigators. Cabrera, 38, was pronounced dead at the scene.  Sorensen is charged with homicide by vehicle and related counts, police said.
