Crash Causes Major Delays On I-81: PennDOT (

There's lane restriction on Interstate 81 following a multiple vehicle crash on Friday evening, Sept. 27, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler told Daily Voice. Emergency crews were called to the scene of the crash on on I-81 southbound 1.1 miles north of Exit 57: PA 114 - Mechanicsburg at 6:08 p.m., according to PennDOT's 511PA. No injuries have been reported, according to emergency dispatchers. A tow was at the scene at 7 p.m., Schreffler said. Check back here for updates.

Tractor-Trailer Carrying Lumber Rolls Over On I-81 In Central PA: PennDOT
A tractor-trailer crash closed part of Interstate 81 South in Central Pennsylvania on Sunday night, Sept. 15, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler told Daily Voice. A trucker was medically evacuated by a helicopter to an area hospital following a serious crash into a Littlestown laundromat early on Thursday morning, Sept. 12, authorities explained. The driver is thought to possibly have had a medical issue before he lost control of the vehicle, exiting the road, hitting a parked vehicle, causing the tractor-trailer to rollover and slam through the Littlestown Laundry Center, authorities said. Fire Prompts Evacuation At Central PA Pizza Hut: Authorities
A fire led officials to evacuate a Pizza Hut in Central Pennsylvania on Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 3. The fire broke out at the Pizza Hut located at 320 North Reading Road near the intersection when Dutchland Avenue in Ephrata at 12:05 p.m., according to Lancaster County Wide Communications. A 3-year-old boy from Chesterbrook died after he was pulled from a pond in Chester County on Labor Day, authorities said. The incident occurred at about 6:50 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 2 at Wilson Farm Park near Lee and Wilson roads in the Chesterbrook area of Tredyffrin Township. A 5-year-old girl who went missing in Chambersburg has been found safe, police told Daily Voice. The girl pictured "walked away from the area of 76 W Liberty St at approximately 11:51 a.m.," the police stated in the release on Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 14. 'Serious' Crash Into Pole Hospitalizes Driver, Swatara Township Police Say
A driver is in the hospital after crashing their vehicle into a pole, Swatara Township police announced Thursday, Aug. 15. Police got the call to the "serious motor vehicle accident" in the 5600 block of Derry Street at 3:09 a.m., as stated in the release. : Wires Fall On Excavator Along Harrisburg Pike, Officials Say
The power was knocked in part of Cumberland after an excavator knocked the wire down on itself, New Kingston Fire Company Chief Curtis Hall announced on Tuesday, Aug. 13. The operator of the excavator was still inside when crews arrived at the scene in the 1100 block of Harrisburg Pike on Tuesday morning, according to Chief Hall. PP&L soon arrived and "determined it was safe for the operator to get out," Hall said. PP&L remained in the area to restore power to those affected. The area where the excavator was working was being used for storage.

Several people suffered injuries in a six-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer on Route 30 in Lancaster Count on Monday night, August 12, authorities announced the following morning. Vehicle Slams Into Fence On Rt 30 Ramp: PennDOT
A vehicle crash into a fence at a Route 30 ramp is causing some delays on Monday, Aug. 5, according to PennDOT's 511PA. The crash happened at the Route 30 Westbound on-ramp at Kreutz Creek Road in Hellam Township around 11:15 a.m., according to the York County Department of Emergency Services dispatch log.
