Woman Charged With Murder After Bloody Altercation In Harrisburg: Police A Harrisburg woman has been charged with murder after a bloody street encounter led police to a deceased man, authorities announced on Thursday, Dec. 5. Harrisburg police were called to North 6th and Wiconisco Streets around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4, for a report of a woman running through the street covered in blood, according to the department. Officers located 29-year-old Tajyeiah Olivia Greer at the scene and determined she had been involved in an altercation with man. Burglary, Vandalism Reported At Shippensburg Memorial Park Maintenance Building: Police A burglary and vandalism incident at Memorial Park in Shippensburg, Franklin County, is under investigation, Shippensburg Police announced Monday, Dec. 2. The Parks and Recreation Maintenance building at 21 Park Place was broken into sometime between Saturday, Nov. 30, and Sunday, Dec. 1, 2024, authorities said. Items were stolen from the building, and the men's bathroom was destroyed with a bat, police stated in the release. Shippensburg Police are asking the public for help in solving this crime. Officers first responded to reports of gunshots on the 300 block of Black Avenue at 1:23 a.m., where they found spent shell casings, according to the Chambersburg Police Department. Nearly two hours later, at 3:04 a.m., police were called to the 500 block of Elm Avenue, where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his arm. Deadly Shooting Under Investigation In Harrisburg: Police One man was shot and killed in Harrisburg early Friday, July 5, city police say.  Officers responded to gunfire on the 1100 block of North 3rd Street around 1:30 a.m., authorities said in a release.  They rendered aid to the victim at the scene and he later died from his wounds, officials wrote.  The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call  717-558-6900. Bicyclist Hurt In Lancaster County Hit-Run: Officials East Lampeter police are searching for the driver who hit a bicyclist and fled the scene on May 8.  Authorities said an early 2000s model Dodge pickup truck or SUV hit the victim on the 100 block of East Main Street around 6 p.m. The crash knocked off the Dodge's passenger side mirror which was recovered from the scene, according to police.  The bicyclist was taken to an area hospital for treatment.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the East Lampeter Police Department on Crimewatch.

Body Found On Harrisburg Street In Broad Daylight A death investigation is underway in Harrisburg where police found a body in the roadway on Friday, May 17, police said. Responding officers found the man dead on Ethel Street around 2:45 p.m., police said.  "The circumstances surrounding the male's death is still under investigation," police said in a news release.  Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the Harrisburg Police, at 717-558-6900.
