Suspects Sought For Broad Daylight Burglary In Berks County: Authorities
Detectives in Berks County are asking residents to help identify the getaway car in a home burglary last Thursday, Dec. 14. Investigators say two men wearing masks and carrying backpacks targeted a home on the 100 block of Great Bend Way in Spring Township around 3:50 p.m. The burglars took personal items, jewelry, and cash before running to a black SUV, possibly a Mitsubishi, and fleeing the neighborhood, police said. Suspects Used Skimming Devices At ATMs Across Berks County, Police Say
Police are seeking a pair of men who they say committed credit card fraud and used ATM skimming devices across Berks County. Spring Township police believe it happened on March 3, according to a release from Crime Alerts of Berks County. The pictured suspects drove throughout the county accessing ATMs using "cloned" credit card numbers and withdrew cash from victims' accounts, authorities claimed. Berks High School Closes Early Amid Reports Of Shooting
Wilson High School dismissed students early on Friday, Feb. 24 after administrators received reports of an ongoing shooting. In an announcement posted to the district's website just before 9:20 a.m., district officials said they were notified by Spring Township police "that there was a shooting at Wilson High School." Three men are charged with armed robbery after police say they stormed a Berks County 7-Eleven and robbed the cashier at gunpoint. Police in Spring Township were called to the convenience store at 3100 State Hill Road at about 2 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 25, the department said in a statement. On arrival, the clerk told officers that two men in dark clothes and masks had walked in and threatened him.
