Man Sitting In Car Shot Dead: Philadelphia Police Authorities in Philadelphia are searching for answers after a man was murdered while sitting in his car.  It happened in West Philly just before 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, the department told Daily Voice. Officers were called to the 100 block of South Cecil Street near Chestnut Street for reports of a man shot.  They arrived to find the victim, a 29-year-old, sitting in a Chrysler with two gunshot wounds to the right side of his head, police said.
