Passenger Ejected, Seriously Injured In Berks County Crash On I-78 (Updated) Authorities have released additional details in the Interstate 78 crash that shut down a large stretch of the highway on Monday, July 1.  The multi-vehicle wreck happened near mile marker 31 in Hamburg, state police said in a release.  A tractor-trailer was headed west in a work zone when it hit the center concrete barrier, troopers said. US Air Force Member, Dad Killed In PA Motorcycle Crash, Fund Says Edgar Guadarrama Jaimes, a Coopersburg father and husband, died in a motorcycle accident last Wednesday, June 26, officials have said. He was 30.  Guadarrama Jaimes was pronounced dead at the scene of the Interstate 78 crash, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office. Two other drivers involved in the accident were not injured.  His obituary from Stephens Funeral Home says the 30-year-old served in the United States Air Force and was a server at the Coopersburg Diner. Motorcyclist Killed In Multi-Vehicle Crash On I-78 (Updated) A 30-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a three-vehicle accident on Interstate 78 on Wednesday, authorities say.  The motorcycle, a tractor-trailer, and a Honda Pilot were involved in a wreck near Exit 58 around 11:45 a.m., according to state police.  The Lehigh County Coroner's Office said the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. State Vehicle Involved In I-78 Crash In Berks County, PA State Police Say A crash truck was struck from behind on Interstate 78 on Monday afternoon, May 13, according to state police.  Troopers said it happened around 2 p.m. near the Stump Road underpass in Maxatawny Township.  The crash truck was stopped in the right westbound lane with its emergency lights flashing. A tractor-trailer was approaching from the west and "attempted to change lanes as the crash truck indicated," but was unable to do so or stop in time, state police said.  Both vehicles suffered "minimal damage" and no injuries were reported, according to troopers.

Overturned Truck Shuts Down Highway Ramp In Northampton County: PSP (Updated) Update: The ramp has since reopened, troopers said.  Crews are at the scene of an accident involving an overturned tractor-trailer on Wednesday, April 3, according to troopers.  Troop M's Nathan Branosky said the truck flipped on the ramp from Route 33 southbound to Interstate 78 eastbound in Lower Saucon. Drivers on Route 33 south are being detoured onto I-78's westbound lanes, state police said.  The ramp was still closed while first responders worked the scene around noon, Branosky said.
