A drug kingpin who headed a network that slung fentanyl and meth in South Jersey and the suburbs of Philadelphia while he hid from his pursuers was sentenced Thursday to a plea-bargained 18 years in federal prison. Glenn Long, 29, of Philadelphia, must serve just about all of the time he received in U.S. District Court in Camden on Jan. 4 because there’s no parole in the federal prison system. Philadelphia Man Fired At Store Clerk In South Jersey: Prosecutor
A 30-year-old man from Philadelphia has been charged in connection with an armed robbery at a South Jersey convenience store, authorities said. Jevonte F. Pressley is accused of firing a weapon at a store employee in West Deptford leading to charges of attempted murder, armed robbery, terroristic threats, theft and weapons offenses, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office. Philly Felon Charged In Fatal Shooting On South Jersey Street
A Philadelphia man has been charged in a fatal daytime shooting in Gloucester County, authorities said. Tyler L. McKinney, 22, allegedly shot Brandon L. Blanton, 21, of Woodbury multiple times near Franklin and Wallace streets in Woodbury at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office. Blanton was taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he was later pronounced dead, Woodbury police said. McKinney was charged with murder, felony murder, robbery and several weapons offenses, authorities said.

A 25-year-old South Jersey man was sentenced to time behind bars for trying to purchase sexual images from a 12-year-old Massachusetts girl, authorities said. Nicholas D. Coffin, of West Deptford, was sentenced to 10 years in New Jersey State Prison and must serve five years before he's eligible for parole, Swansea Police Chief Marc Haslam said. One person was killed when a home heating oil truck exploded Wednesday, June 15 in South Jersey, officials said. The explosion occurred around 10:40 a.m. at Timberline Services on Swedesboro Road in Harrison Township, Harrison Township police said. A 23-year-old man from Philadelphia has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of his stepfather in South Jersey, authorities said. Woolwich Township police responded to a 9-1-1 call about a shooting on Cottonwood Road in Woolwich at 4:15 p.m. Saturday.
