It happened in the southbound lanes just before the MacDade Boulevard exit around 8 a.m., police said in a release. Drivers were asked to pass on the right shoulder with caution while first responders worked the scene.
The crash involved a box truck and resulted in a fuel spill, the release says. Emergency dispatchers reported at least one injury.
By 11:30 a.m. Monday, PennDOT 511 cameras showed no apparent backup in I-476's southbound lanes near the MacDade Boulevard exit.
Pennsylvania State Police also responded to the scene, authorities added.
