Man In Wheelchair Badly Hurt In Hit-Run Crash In Philadelphia, Police Say A man in a wheelchair was badly hurt after being hit by a runaway driver early Friday, June 21, Philadelphia police say.  The victim was struck near Vine and Franklin streets minutes after midnight, authorities said in a release. The striking vehicle was westbound from the Vine Street bridge when it hit the victim in the middle of the roadway, according to investigators.  The victim was taken to Jefferson University Hospital in critical condition and no arrest had been made as of Friday afternoon, police said.  An investigation is ongoing. Police Name ATV Rider Killed In Philadelphia Crash Authorities have identified the ATV rider who died in a North Philadelphia wreck on Thursday night, June 13.  Michael Anthony Pembleton was headed south on Broad Street when his ATV hit the passenger side of a Subaru near Westmoreland Street, PPD said.  Pembleton, 35, was taken to Temple University Hospital and pronounced dead around 9 p.m., city police said.  The driver of the Subaru remained on the scene and no arrests have been made, officials said. An investigation is underway.

They arrived to find a 65-year-old woman dead with gunshot wounds, police said.  A suspect "refused to exit the property" and police declared a barricade situation, PPD said.
