Isaiah Mikel Velazquez, 25, is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, and related counts, according to the department.
Police believe Velazquez attacked a man at his Sellersville home sometime after midnight on Saturday, Sept. 9, "following a domestic disturbance."
The victim told investigators Velazquez confronted him carrying a machete in one hand and a knife in the other before swinging both blades, cutting and stabbing him.
Perkasie and Pennridge Regional arrested Velazquez at his home without incident, authorities said.
He was arraigned on Saturday where his bail was set at $1 million, according to court records. His next court hearing is scheduled for Oct. 10.
