Body Found On I-90 By DOT Employees In Capital Region: Police New York State Department of Transportation employees made a horrifying discovery while working near I-90 in Rensseleaer, prompting a police investigation. The employees found a body at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 3, near the Patroon Island Bridge near the eastbound lane in Rensselaer, said Trooper Jennifer Alvarez. The right lane was closed for approximately 1.5 hours for investigation purposes and has since been reopened.  The investigation is ongoing. There is no perceived public threat at this time.

Fatal Shooting: 15-Year-Old ID'd As Victim In Capital Region Police in the Capital Region have identified a 15-year-old boy who was shot and killed. The incident happened in Schenectady around 11:20 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, in the 1100 block of Congress Street. According to the Schenectady Police, officers found a large crowd running from the area when they arrived.  They located Dubar T. Knowles, of Schenectady, in the backyard of 1122 Congress St., suffering from a gunshot wound to his torso. Knowles later died from his injuries, police said. A 13-year-old girl from Schenectady was also shot and is currently recovering from surgery…

Capital Region Teen Others Beat Victims With Baseball Bat For Jordan A 19-year-old man and four others are accused of beating a father and son with baseball bats to steal their shoes at a Capital Region sports store over the weekend, authorities said.  Albany County resident Kyle H. Fowlkes, of Colonie, faces charges of robbery, two counts of assault, and possession of a weapon, Colonie police said. Restaurant To Close After 21 Years Flooded With Business In Capital Region A popular Capital Region Chinese bistro and bakery said they are slammed with orders after announcing the restaurant would close for good next week.  Hong Kong Bakery & Bistro in Colonie announced in a Facebook post last week that the owners —  Berry Lai and Shu Lam Chan — were retiring and would shutter the eatery on Monday, Aug. 26.  Since then, the Wolf Road restaurant has been slammed with orders and had long wait times as staff deal with the rush of customers looking for one more order of dim sum or some of the popular bakery items, it said in a follow-up post. …
