Man From Region Nabbed For Assault, Knocking Victim's Teeth Out, Police Say
A man from the region was charged with assault after he allegedly broke into a home and knocked a victim's teeth out. The incident occurred in Sullivan County on Saturday, Nov. 16, in the Town of Thompson. According to Sullivan County Sheriff's Office Undersheriff Eric Chaboty, deputies encountered Xavier Vega, age 30, of Monticello. The investigation at the scene revealed that Vega had been removed from that location earlier in the day under an order of protection. Orange County Man Tried To Orchestrate Murder Of Woman From Prison, DA Says
A man who is behind bars for life for killing a 21-year-old college student has been found guilty again of hiring a hitman from prison to kill another person. On Tuesday, Oct. 29, Cornelius Stubbs, age 53, of Newburgh, was convicted by a jury in Orange County Court of attempted murder for having attempted to cause the death of a Newburgh woman by commanding another man to kill her. Stalking, Forcible Touching At Department Stores: Hudson Valley 18-Year-Old Charged
A teenager has been charged in connection to multiple incidents allegedly involving stalking and inappropriate touching at department stores in the Hudson Valley. The New York State Police announce the arrest of Jayden Rivers, age 18, from Monroe, New York. Rivers was charged with Forcible Touching and Stalking 3rd degree.
