Hudson Valley Man On Tracks Injured After Jumping Out Of Way Of Oncoming Train A man walking along the train tracks in Rockland County was struck on the shoulder by an NJ Transit passenger train as he jumped out of the way. Dave Steckel of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority said the incident occurred in Nanuet around 12:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11, as the train on the Pascack Valley Line passed the unidentified man. 4 Shot, 1 Critically, In Hudson Valley During Large, 'Disorderly,' Gathering, Police Say Four people were shot, one critically, in the region during a large, disorderly gathering. The incident occurred in Dutchess County in the city of Poughkeepsie around 3:30 a.m., Friday, July 5, in the area of 380 Main St. According to Det. Sgt. Terrance Beam of the Poughkeepsie Police, responding officers, encountered a large disorderly group and four people suffering from gunshot wounds.  Officers began rendering aid to the victims and secured a crime scene.
