Firefighters in Saratoga County responded to a Waterford residence on Saratoga Avenue near Hill Street for a fire at an occupied two-story home at around 2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 17.
Arriving crews found the home fully engulfed in flames. Additional crews were being called in from neighboring agencies.
One firefighter was evacuated after suffering a head injury on scene, according to preliminary radio traffic. Their condition was not immediately available.
It was not clear whether any residents were injured or what sparked the blaze.
Saratoga Avenue was closed in both directions near the scene, witnesses reported on the Waterford, NY Community Facebook group.
