Officials ID Pedestrian Killed By Train That Suspended Service To Suffern Officials have identified the pedestrian struck and killed by an NJ Transit train on Monday, Dec. 16. John Redinger, 62, of Ramsey, was struck by Train No. 56 on the Port Jervis Line east of the Ramsey station around 9:15 a.m., NJ Transit spokesman Kyalo Mulumba said.  The train, which departed Port Jervis at 7:39 a.m., was scheduled to arrive in Hoboken at 9:52 a.m.  There were no injuries reported to the approximately 10 customers and crew on board. Covid-19: Here's When Latest Metro-North Schedule Change Starts As ridership continues to plummet to historic lows amid the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the MTA announced it will once again be altering the schedule for Metro-North trains. Beginning on Monday, April 13, Metro-North will operate on an hourly schedule on the Hudson, Harlem and New Haven lines during both the weekdays and weekends. The Pascack Valley and Port Jervis lines will remain on Saturday schedules, with hourly service at some points of the day.
