Man, 27, Deposited Checks He Stole From Neighbor's Stony Point Residence, Police Say
A man gave himself a blank check after allegedly breaking into a neighbor’s residence and stealing a checkbook in Rockland County, police said. Stony Point resident James Rose is behind bars after he allegedly illegally entered the apartment on North Liberty Drive in August. After breaking into the apartment, Rose allegedly stole personal checks, filled them out and deposited them into his own bank account. Man Flees Police, Arrested With Hypodermic Needles In Stony Point
A report of a person driving erratically led to the arrest of a Stony Point man on numerous driving charges and for having hypodermic needles. The incident took place around 6:14 p.m. Friday when the Stony Point Police received a report of an erratic driver in a blue Honda on Grassy Point Road, said Stony Point Police Lt. Daniel Hylas. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver, James Rose, 27, fled the scene. The vehicle was later located in the rear of 18 Grassy Point Road, Hylas said. Two Caught With Heroin In Pearl River After Concerned Citizen Report
A Rockland County duo is facing drug charges after allegedly getting caught with heroin in a car in Pearl River. A Butternut Drive resident contacted members of the Orangetown Police Department at approximately 5:25 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8, with a report of a suspicious Honda Acura that was parked on the block with two occupants, including one who allegedly was in possession of a hypodermic needle.
