1 Burglary Suspect In Custody, 2 On Loose After Police Pursuit Ends In Rockland
One burglary suspect is in custody but two others remain at large after a police pursuit from Bergen County ended in Rockland overnight. On Saturday, Nov. 2, at approximately 7:50 p.m., the Clarkstown Police Department assisted the Montvale Police Department during a pursuit of a vehicle linked to burglary suspects in its area. The pursuit ended in Nanuet in the vicinity of Lake Nanuet Road and Pittsford Way. Rockland County Couple Injured, 75-Year-Old Driver Charged In Head-On Crash
A woman and a young passenger escaped serious injury in a head-on crash caused by a 75-year-old Rockland County driver, authorities said. The elderly driver and her 83-year-old male passenger, both from Piermont in Rockland County, were in a 2019 Nissan Rogue that crossed the center line on West Grand Avenue near Woodland Road in New Jersey and collided with a 2017 Dodge Durango shortly before 8:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11, Montvale Police Chief Joseph Sanfilippo said. Rockland Brothers Seized After Pointing Fake Gun, Throwing Fireworks On Bus, Police Say
An extremely tense situation ended safely when police in Bergen County seized two underage Rockland brothers who they said threatened passengers on a commuter bus with a fake gun and fireworks. Police in Montvale stopped the Monsey Trails bus on Chestnut Ridge Road around 10 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16 after receiving multiple calls that one of the Monsey brothers – ages 14 and 16 – pointed a pistol at fellow passengers, Montvale Police Chief Joseph Sanfilippo said. Man Caught In Suffern After Stalking Woman, Police Say
Investigators from the Ramapo Police Department were able to track down a man who allegedly stole property from a Rockland woman and stalked her from New Jersey back to New York. The Ramapo Police Department received an emergency call from a woman late on Thursday night reporting that she had been involved in an altercation with a man in New Jersey who had taken personal property from her.
