Man, Woman Face Host Of Charges After Police Pursuit In Rockland County
A man and a woman were nabbed after a pursuit with New York State Police in the Hudson Valley on a host of charges, including allegedly possessing illegal weapons. The incident began in Westchester County at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 6, when troopers attempted to stop a 2021 Nissan Sentra on I-87 in the village of Ardsley and ended in Rockland County in Nyack when the vehicle was stopped by the Orangetown Police on Route 59. Justin Timberlake formally accepted a plea deal in his alleged drunk driving case in New York. The former NSYNC frontman, age 43, pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of driving while ability impaired in Sag Harbor Village court on Friday, Sept. 13. He was ordered to pay a $500 fine and complete 25 hours of community service within a year. He also agreed to make a public safety announcement about the dangers of drinking and driving. Man Accused Of Raping Child While Working As Painter In Hudson Valley
A 59-year-old man has been charged in connection with his alleged rape of a child while working as a painter at a Northern Westchester County apartment building, officials announced. Peekskill resident Anselmo Yambay Pena was arrested on Tuesday, Sept. 10 in connection with his alleged rape of a child younger than 13 years old earlier in the year, the Westchester County District Attorney's Office said on Friday, Sept. 13. Tomkins Cove Man Charged For Firing Shotgun At Car
A Hudson Valley man was charged with menacing after allegedly firing a shotgun at a car following a dispute. The incident occurred in Rockland County in Tomkins Cove on Thursday, Feb. 15, on West Shore Drive. According to Lt. Daniel Schoales of the Stony Point Police, an investigation found that Matthew Hoyt, age 42, of Tomkins Cove, fired at least two rounds from a shotgun at a vehicle that was fleeing the scene after a dispute. After several busloads of migrants and asylum seekers arrived in a Hudson Valley town without warning, the county has been granted a temporary restraining order barring more. Five suspects have been apprehended after an early afternoon shooting in the Hudson Valley. It happened in Rockland County on Saturday, Jan. 29 at around 1:45 p.m. in New City. A 31-year-old man is behind bars after police say he used a pry bar to break into a building in Nyack. Orangetown police officers responded to North Broadway in the Village of Nyack for a report of a person breaking into the building with a pry bar on Friday, March 15 at approximately 10:50 a.m. Upon arrival, police discovered the lock on the front door broken and the suspect, Terry M.
