A shoplifter with a pants full of stolen goods assaulted an employee while fleeing a Long Island Target store, police said. Jose Rodriguez, 43, was arrested on robbery and related charges following an alleged theft at the Lawrence Target on Rockaway Turnpike on Tuesday, Feb. 4. Rodriguez entered the store at around 5:40 p.m. and proceeded to stuff stolen merchandise under his shirt and in his pants before exiting the business, Nassau County Police said. Burglar Smashes Way Into T-Mobile Store On Long Island To Nab Cell Phone Accessories
Police are asking for tips following a smash-and-grab burglary at a T-Mobile store on Long Island. The break-in occurred in Lawrence, at the T-Mobile store located on Rockaway Turnpike, at around 5:15 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29. A man wearing all black clothing threw a rock through the front window and entered the business, Nassau County Police said. He proceeded to grab an unknown amount of cell phone accessories before fleeing the scene. Detectives asked anyone with information to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.

Driver Injured In Road Rage Shooting Near Long Island Shopping Center
A driver was shot near a Long Island shopping center in an apparent act of road rage. The incident happened in Lawrence, at the Five Towns Shopping Center on Rockaway Turnpike, at around 8:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16. Nassau County Police said a 54-year-old man was driving a pickup truck northbound on Rockaway Turnpike when he got into a road rage confrontation with another man driving a sedan. Duo Nabbed After Item Worth $5.7K Stolen From Long Island Store: Police
A pair of suspects are in custody after police say an item worth thousands of dollars was stolen from a Long Island store. The alleged incident happened around 2:50 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, in Lawrence, at Kay Jewelers at 331 Rockaway Turnpike. Responding officers were informed that a man had fled the store with a necklace that he was trying on valued at approximately $5,700, according to Nassau County Police. Officers canvassed the nearby area and located Demari Harvey, 21, of Rosedale, Queens. He was placed under arrest without incident in the vicinity of Branch Boulevard and Redwood Drive.…
