Man Who Traveled Across NY To Kill Ex-Wife's Partner Apprehended In Hudson Valley, Police Say A man was apprehended in the region after authorities say he traveled hundreds of miles across New York to murder his ex-wife's partner. State Police troopers responded to a Columbia County 911 broadcast about the suspect on Tuesday, Sept. 17. The suspect, Andrew J. Case, age 41, of West Seneca, in Erie County, was located and arrested on Route 9 in the Columbia County town of Greenport, according to police. Duo Charged With Hate Crimes After Attacking UPS Driver In Hudson Valley Two men have been charged with alleged assault as a hate crime after attacking a UPS driver while using racial slurs and attempting to steal the keys to his vehicle. The incident occurred in Rockland County at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24, on Spook Rock Road in the village of Montebello. According to Ramapo Police Chief Daniel Hyman, the driver was struck by a water bottle thrown from outside the vehicle.
