Two Hospitalized After Head-On Mahopac Crash Two drivers were injured in Putnam County after one crossed over into the opposite lane and struck the other head-on. First responders were dispatched to Croton Falls Road near the intersection of Sandy Street in Mahopac shortly after 9 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 28, Jack Casey, the Public Information Officer for the Mahopac Fire Department said. Upon arrival, paramedics, crews from Mahopac Fire, and members of the Carmel Police Department, determined that both the drivers of a car and pick-up truck were in need of medical assistance, while they closed the roadway to investigate the crash.
