Victim Dies After Stabbing At Poughkeepsie Park, Hunt On For Person Of Interest Police are searching for a suspect who is a "person of interest" in a deadly stabbing at a city park in the region. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at 9:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at Pershing Avenue Park in the city of Poughkeepsie. According to Det. Sgt. Sean Fitzgerald of the Poughkeepsie Police, a man in his 50s, was found stabbed and bleeding at the park by responding officers. Pedestrian Seriously Injured After Being Hit By SUV Near Marist College A 61-year-old was hospitalized over the weekend after he was struck by an SUV on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie, near Marist College, police said. Officers from the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department received a report shortly before 5:45 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 6, of a Honda CR-V that struck a pedestrian on North Road, near the college. Police said that a 63-year-old Hyde Park man struck a Poughkeepsie resident who was on the roadway, not in a crosswalk. Two Men Shot As Fights Break Out Overnight In Poughkeepsie Two men suffered gunshot wounds as fights broke out amid a large crowd overnight in the City of Poughkeepsie, Lt. Matt Clark said.
