Body Of Missing Man Recovered From Pond New update: The body of a man who went missing on Long Island has been recovered. The body of Dennis Jones, 40, of Freeport was pulled from the Milburn Pond on the Baldwin/Freeport border on Saturday, Dec. 28, Nassau County Police said. He was pronounced dead at 4:21 p.m., according to police. Human Remains Found In Duffel Bag Outside Bank In Westchester Police have launched an investigation after the discovery of a suspicious duffel bag outside a bank that had human remains inside. Members of the Yonkers Police Department responded to the Wells Fargo Bank on Odell Avenue shortly after noon on Monday, Nov. 19, where there was a report of a suspicious bag. Police said that upon arrival, members of the Emergency Service Unit found the bag on the west side of the building, near a dumpster. Kitten Stranded In Sewer Pulled To Safety After Good Samaritan Calls Police A kitten's cry for help was heard by a Good Samaritan, and two police officers took over from there. Police were able to rescue the kitten stranded in a sewer early Saturday morning in Westchester. At approximately 8:30 a.m., the Good Samaritan was walking her dog and came upon the kitten in the area of 276 Riverdale Ave. in Yonkers. Members of the 3rd Precinct and Emergency Service Unit responded.  ESU Officers Jamie Molina and Anthony Alaimo brought the kitten to safety. The feline is currently at the Yonkers Animal Shelter receiving attention.
