Missing Hudson Valley Man Dies After Being Caught In Current Of Brook In Vermont, Police Say
A missing Hudson Valley man hiking the Appalachian Trail died after being caught in the current of a brook in Vermont, according to authorities.
Dutchess County resident Robert Kerker, age 67, of Rhinebeck, who had been missing since Sunday, July 9, was located about 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 28, by search crews along the Stony Brook in Stockbridge, Vermont, about 1.5 miles downstream from where the trail crossed the brook.

Nearly four years after an 18-year-old woman was found shot to death in the middle of a street in the region, a jury has convicted her killer.
Isaiah Williams, age 25, of Brooklyn, was found guilty of second-degree murder in Rensselaer County Court on Friday, July 21, in the death of Beyonce Wint.
The New York City teen was found shot to death in the early hours of Sunday, Sept. 17, 2019 in Troy’s Lansingburgh neighborhood, in the middle of 111th Street near Fourth Avenue.

Noel Lemar McClinton of Poughkeepsie died on Jan. 27 at MidHudson Regional Hospital. He was 35.
He was born July 4, 1982 in Poughkeepsie to Noel James and Sinetra McClinton. Noel earned an Associates Degree in Business and worked at McClinton Enterprise Unlimited in Burlington, VT for two years.
Besides his parents, he is survived by a stepmother, Marleen James; children, Gisea Choice McClinton and A-Mya Renee McClinton; siblings, KenTae Earl McClinton, Natasha Sinetra McClinton and Gary, Glen, Shannon, Samantha and Marvin Brown; grandparents, Annie Lois Birks McClinton and Lewis Watson.

Macy's To Close Seven Stores, Cut 5,000 Jobs
Department store chain Macy's announced the locations of seven store closures as well as plans to eliminate 5,000 jobs.The latest move comes after a slight uptick in holiday sales in which Macy's reported a 1 percent boost in sales in November and December compared to the same period last year.
Macy's had previously announced it would be closing 11 stores, identifying four. The seven that were not initially identified are:
