Video: Bear Meets Bird Feeder In Beekman
A playful black bear was caught on camera playing with a bird feeder in a backyard in Dutchess County. In the video, the bear can be seen looking around the yard in Beekman before getting on two paws, grabbing the bird feeder and sniffing around. Environmental officials say that means its time to lock your garbage cans, remove bird feeders from yards, and to watch your household pets if they free roam in your yard. Looking for a good excuse to get out of doing lawn work? A family in the area found the perfect one on Sunday. A large black bear interrupted them as they were fertilizing their lawn in Putnam County. After taking cover inside their home on North Knapp Court, they watched and took the above videos and photos of the unexpected visitor.
