Born in Tarrytown on February 23, 1961, he was the son of the late Alphonse and Irene Barone. He was married to Susan Barone who survives at home. He is also survived by his children, Christina Barone, Michelle Camastro and her husband Christopher, and Daniel Barone and his wife Zoe; his siblings, John, Charlie, Nancy, Alan and Tom; his father-in-law, Gus Simeone; and many cousins, in-laws, nieces, and nephews. He was looking forward to the arrival of his first grandson, Luca Michael, in late July.
Barone was a hard working union carpenter for Kane Contracting in Peekskill where he has worked for the past 22 years.
He was an extremely passionate sports fan. He will be cheering from Heaven for his beloved Yankees, Rangers, and Giants. One of his favorite parts of being a dad was coaching his children in softball, baseball, and basketball for the Town of LaGrange. He will always be remembered for his big heart, infectious smile, and "flawless" dance moves.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Kateri Church, 1925 Route 82, Lagrangeville followed by burial at St. Denis Cemetery in Hopewell Junction.
