The two-week long event, a celebration of the bounty of the Hudson Valley, starts Monday, Oct. 30 and goes until Sunday, Nov. 12 and spots fill up fast.
More than 200 restaurants throughout Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess, Orange, Ulster, and Sullivan participate, allowing chefs to flaunt their best fare. Special three-course menus are $22.95 for lunch and $32.95 for dinner and often focus on seasonal ingredients.
New this year: Spotlighting the color purple, i.e. purple produce such as cauliflower, Japanese eggplant, potatoes, beets and Brussels sprouts.
Also new: A bunch of Dutchess County restaurants, among them American Bounty in Hyde Park, Amici's in Poughkeepsie, The Amsterdam in Rhinebeck, Baja 328 in Beacon, Kitchen Sink Food & Drink in Beacon, and Eleven 11 Grille & Spirits in Fishkill.
