Launched earlier this month by Felicia Zammit-McMann of Poughkeepsie, Wedding Connections of the Hudson Valley, www.weddingconnectionshv.com, is designed to connect engaged couples to leading wedding professionals throughout the area.
The site provides educational blog posts, exclusive videos, wedding planning tips, venue information, couple profiles and photo galleries, interviews from Hudson Valley wedding professionals, a detailed directory and soon-to-launch products and services.
WCHV is hyper-local with innovative content along with expert advice and insights directly from wedding professionals primarily in Dutchess, Ulster, Orange and Putnam counties, said Zammit-McMann.
“Couples can spend upwards of 20 to 40 hours a week searching through websites and directories looking for and researching their vendors for their wedding. It almost becomes a full-time job” said Zammit-McMann. “As someone who has recently been through this experience, I discovered first-hand that there is so much that couples don’t realize they need to know when planning a wedding."
Most couples don't realize how much work goes into planning a wedding until they are in the thick of it, she added.
Zammit-McMann is an experienced wedding mentor and writer for wedding industry publications across the country, including Los Angeles-based wedding blog “The Overwhelmed Bride,” and the "Organic Hudson Valley Magazine" where her stories focus on green wedding practices. She is also a member of the International Bloggers Association and Hudson Valley Women in Business.
