The collision occurred in Orange County around 10:50 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 16, in Warwick near Pulaski Highway, according to Warwick Police Chief John Rader.
The first officers to arrive at the scene began life-saving measures on the man from the village of Florida, Rader said. He was transported to St. Anthony's Hospital in Warwick, where he later died from his injuries.
Police have not released the man's identity.
Warwick EMS took a 22-year-old woman who was a passenger in the vehicle to Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown. She was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to recover.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, with police working to determine the cause of the accident.
