The incident happened near Mt. Equinox, in the town of Manchester, Vermont, at around 8:30 a.m Wednesday, Feb. 26, according to Manchester Police. The plane, a Piper Cherokee Charger, had taken off from Martin State Airport in Middle River, Maryland, shortly after 6 a.m., Baltimore station WBAL reports.
