Parent company Seven & I Holdings said that the 444 locations were “underperforming.” They make up about 3 percent of 7-Eleven's total of around 13,000 outlets in the US, Canada, and Mexico. First reports of the problems began just before 1 pm. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, with about 20,000 customers sharing outages on the website Downdetector.com. Some said they were stunned to see zero balances on their accounts. Others said they could not see their account balances. Issues with online and mobile systems, and ATM services are being reported.
