Members of the City of Newburgh Police Department, Hudson Valley Safe Streets Task Force, and New York State Police conducted the operation on Johnston Street to address the complaints, said Sgt. Christopher Lahar.
During the operation officers recovered seven grams of crack cocaine, 81 baggies of heroin, one large marijuana plant, and $1,900 in cash, police said.
Charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance included City of Newburgh residents Daniel Coughlan, 52, Brian Backus, 46, Bernadette Walters, 58, Anthony Luogameno, 57, Richard Kyles, 55, and Walden resident, David Rotondo, 26, Lahar said.
Others arrested and charged with criminal possession in the fifth and third degrees included City of Newburgh residents Kiaje Paulk, 23, and Preshea Fennell, 34.
City of Newburgh resident Tyrik Legette, 24, was also charged with one felony count of criminal possession of a controlled substance, Lahar added.
Arrested on an active Orange County warrant was Taylor Bradford, 24, of Newburgh.
