Drunk Driver Leads Officers On Short Chase In Hudson Valley: Police A 40-year-old drunk driver was apprehended after fleeing a traffic stop in the region, police said. The incident leading to the man's arrest began in Putnam County just before 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24, when a Kent Police officer saw a vehicle driving erratically on Route 311, according to the department. The officer soon tried stopping the vehicle on Terry Hill Road. However, the car ignored the officer's emergency lights and sirens and kept going, authorities said.
