Rockland County resident Cristhian Cruz-Rojas of Stony Point was arrested on Sunday, July 16 around 10 a.m. on North Liberty Drive in Stony Point. When an officer attempted to stop the vehicle Cruz-Rojas refused to pull over and continued to drive to his residence which was approximately two miles away, said Lt. Stony Point Police say they responded to a report of a minor car accident on Perrin's Peak Road on Saturday, Aug. 3 around 9 p.m. Further investigation revealed that the driver, identified as Tyrill Graham, 35, of Manhattan, was driving the vehicle while in an intoxicated state, police say. Jeffrey Ramirez, of Garnerville, was arrested on Friday, June 28, after the Stony Point Police received a 911 around 3:15 a.m., from the resident on De Halve Mean Drive, that someone was breaking into his home, said Stony Police Lt. Stony Point Police say they responded to the parking lot of ShopRite on 22 Holt Drive on Wednesday, April 24 on the report that a man had left the store without paying for his cart full of groceries. Police say the subject, identified as 38-year-old Daniel Gavrity of Tomkins Cove, was subsequently located operating a motor vehicle. Stony Point Police responded to a report of a fight at a restaurant on 9W in Stony Point around 12:30 p.m. on Monday, March 25. Man, 27, Deposited Checks He Stole From Neighbor's Stony Point Residence, Police Say A man gave himself a blank check after allegedly breaking into a neighbor’s residence and stealing a checkbook in Rockland County, police said. Stony Point resident James Rose is behind bars after he allegedly illegally entered the apartment on North Liberty Drive in August. After breaking into the apartment, Rose allegedly stole personal checks, filled them out and deposited them into his own bank account. Man Who Shoplifted From Shop Rite Caught With Heroin, Stony Point PD Says A 43-year-old man wanted for shoplifting from a local Shop Rite was nabbed with heroin when he was arrested.  Jason Rees of Haverstraw was arrested around 4:15 p.m. Tuesday when the Stony Point Police Department received a complaint from an employee of the Shop Rite of a larceny at the store, said Lt. Daniel Hylas. The employee was able to provide the license plate number of the car that fled following the theft and Rees was arrested at his residence with the stolen property, Hylas said.  In addition to the stolen property, police also found four decks of heroin, he added.
