New York Lottery officials announced that a jackpot-winning Take 5 ticket worth $40,933.50 was purchased at Saw Mill Pharmacy on Saw Mill River Road in Yonkers on Thursday, Feb. 10. Two Men Admit To Roles In String Of Westchester Burglaries
Two men have admitted to their roles related to a string of burglaries targeting southern Westchester businesses over several months in 2017. Brooklyn resident Patrick Williams and Kareem Johnakin of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania have pleaded guilty to charges related to the burglaries of several Yonkers and New Rochelle businesses. Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino Jr. said that Williams pleaded guilty on March 7, while Johnakin entered his plea this week as his trial was set to begin in Westchester County Court. Bowl For Port Chester Scholarships: Byron Womack Fundraiser This Weekend
Friends, students and teaching associates of Byron Womack, a very popular assistant principal at Port Chester Middle School, have organized a singles bowling tournament in his memory. Womack was found dead on Feb. 20 at the age of 48 of natural causes. All proceeds from the bowling tournament will go to the Byron Womack Scholarship Fund.
