Two Men Busted With Drugs During Area Traffic Stop, State Police Say
Two Orange County men were busted for alleged possession of drugs following a traffic stop.
Joshua C. Gilmore, 39, Middletown, and Nichole Ellis, 35, of the town of Wallkill, were arrested on Thursday, March 12, following a stop on Route 17 in Monroe, said Trooper Steven Nevel, of the New York State Police.
According to Nevel, state police stopped a 2008 Toyota Prius for a vehicle and traffic law violation and while interviewing the driver, later identified as Gilmore, he found that Gilmore did not have a driver's license.

Town Supervisor Accused Of Driving Drunk After Hitting Utility Pole
A town supervisor in the Hudson Valley was arrested after hitting a utility pole while allegedly driving drunk, said the New York State Police.
The incident took place late Thursday, Aug. 22, or early Friday, Aug. 23 in Orange County, said Trooper Steven Nevel, a spokesman for the department.
Nevel said he had not received an official report yet, but according to the officer on the scene, Tuxedo Town Supervisor Michael Rost was driving southbound on Route 17 when he was involved in a single-vehicle crash, Nevel said.

ID Released For Man Killed While Riding Lawn Mower With Brother On Route 17
Police have released the identity of a Sloatsburg man who was killed while riding a lawn mower on Route 17 with his brother when they were hit by a car.
Richard M. Mackey, 29, died early Monday, May 20, from his injuries, said Ramapo Police.
His brother Raymond Mackey, also 29, from Sloatsburg, is believed to be the driver of the lawn mower and is currently hospitalized with serious injuries at this time, police added.
