The suspect, Emmanuel Jean Tenemille, 43, and the woman knew each other, police said and the woman contacted police to report the assault before being treated at Good Samaritan Hospital and released, according lohud.com
Police charged Tenemille with three felonies: assault, strangulation and criminal contempt. He was arraigned in Montebello Justice Court and sent to the Rockland County jail with $5,000 bail, according lohud.com
