Henry F. Gessner, 73, Of Pomona

POMONA, N.Y – Henry F. Gessner, a resident of Pomona, died Thursday, April 21. He was 73.

He was born Feb.19, 1943, in Yonkers to Felix and Frances Gessner.

He owned his own plumbing repair business in Pomona. He was the past president of Mount Ivy Lions Club, the Haverstraw Elks and an avid Model A Ford enthusiast.

He is survived by his four children, Henry Jr. and his wife Jennifer, John, Myra and Derek; his grandchildren, Matthew, Connor, Hunter James, Amy Marie, Evan and Katrina; one great-grandchild, Zanib; his brother, Paul Gessner; three sisters, Margaret, Elsie Gerish and Dorothy Gessner-Koby; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Eileen, and a brother, Rudy.

The funeral service will be held Monday, April 25, at 8:30 p.m., at The Scarr Funeral Home, Route 202, Suffern. Friends may call Monday from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Stony Point Elks or United Hospice of Rockland would be appreciated.
